    Pioneer 700

Honda has now announced the Pioneer 700.

    2014 Pioneer 700 Overview - Honda Powersports

Seems to be the same as the Pioneer 700-4 , but without the flip up rear seats and rear roll cage.

Personally, I'd rather have a larger engine, but this one fits my needs better than the 700-4.

ya know if they were to just place the front tires just a little further forward, it could fit 32's just fine.

This was brought up before, but here at Honda's web site is a page of their accessories for the 700 and the 700-4.

    Pioneer 700
In 2014, Honda's Pioneer™ 700 sets the standard as the ultimate in hard-working, hard-playing side-by-sides. Whether you're off to the job site or a weekend adventure in the woods, this newest version carries two people and a load of gear and supplies—up to 1000 pounds—to those spots that are especially tough to reach. Quick acceleration, good top speed and smooth-riding long-travel suspension are some of the keys to what makes the Pioneer 700 so special. The handy tilt bed adds lots of versatility, and being a Honda, it also features industry-leading safety features—plus outstanding value. Available in three colors, Red, Olive and the new Honda-designed and trademarked Honda Phantom Camo™, this workhorse of a machine can also be dressed up, modified and personalized by choosing from the full line of more than 50 Honda Genuine Accessories/Honda Signature Accessories. Colors: Honda Phantom Camo, Olive, Red; Price: TBD; Availability: September
We'll be bringing you even more exciting news in the coming months, so keep your eyes on Honda." If they have sport models coming it will probably be late this year on early next year. I think they have sport models but I will buy Yamaha or Kawasaki if they have one first. I have 3 Polaris models and it takes about a week in my race shop to fix the design and quality control problems.

I don't think the sport model will be that soon, but I just hope it happens as even a late 14 model

    Re: Pioneer 700

Hello , newbie here. Will be buying a pioneer when they hit the market. Haven't decided on the two seater or four seater yet ,but leaning towards the two seater. Has anyone heard of any pricing or availability of these machines. Searching the web I found a couple of sites say available sept. I contacted my Honda dealer and he said they didn't have any pricing yet or dates they will be available.

    Re: Pioneer 700

Went for a drive today ended up at a Honda/Polaris dealer.Asked the salesman about pricing on the Pioneer 700 and Pioneer 700 -4 .The Salesman the whole time I was there kept referring to the Polaris about how good they were etc: To be honest with you it peeved me off. This is the second dealer that I've been to and there pushing the Polaris machines .Anyway I stuck to my guns and kept asking about the Honda. He finally couldn't tell me much, however he did end up calling his Honda Rep and came up with this answer. There's no pricing yet and all they will tell him is that it won't be untill late summer early fall.Kinda came to a realization that unless its a all Honda dealer then I'am going to be given the run around. The thing that peeved me the most was that in the end the Salesman said to me Your free to spend your money on what you want but for what a Honda asks for $$ there not worth it.Wow.Won't be going back there again.
Used to be slow and floatable now faster but sinkable

I'm of the opinion that he doesn't give a rat's ass what you buy, just as long as you buy it TODAY, and from him. He'd rather sell you a Polaris and take delivery than have to wait till the new Pioneer's arrive for delivery.

Now if both machines were ready to go, yes, I agree with jmiraval, what ever the better margin of profit is, that's the one he'll endorse.

    Re: Pioneer 700

Got a call from my daughter in law who works at a Honda dealer. She said that I could place a order for a pioneer. The two seater red was $10,000 and the camo was $10,600. The four seater if I remember right was $11,200 or$11,300 for red. They ordered a four seater and delivery date expected in August. The 2 seater delivery date was sept. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. I had it narrowed down to 2 Machines A Polaris ranger xp900 or the pioneer. I am going to call them tomorrow and order a Camo 2 seater pioneer. For the price difference between the Honda and Polaris I can buy a few accessories for the pioneer. It may be a lo g wait. I hope I made the right decision.

    Re: Pioneer 700

From the looks of it there may be some tire limitations on the 4 seater that the 2 seater won't have.
    But time will tell.
I've been selling Honda for 13years, this will be my 1st sidebyside I'm getting the 2 seater than will trade in when the sport model arrives.

    Re: Pioneer 700

Tire limitations? Please explain. I thought the two seater and four seater shared the same frame. I realize putting bigger tires on I will loose power but I wish Honda would of went with a little wider tire on the front instead of 25x8

Kind of makes you wonder. How is it that the BR lists for $11,699 and the Pioneer 700 list for $9,999. Both have the same engine and drivetrain (I assume). Where did Honda shave $1600 retail off of the Pioneer?

    Re: Pioneer 700

They may have to give the big reds away for next to nothing to get rid of them with the pioneer coming in so much cheaper. Supposedly the pioneer being a better more improved machine. It even comes standard with a glove box door and digital gauges! Ya!makes you wonder what they did to sell the new ones so much cheaper. I still hope the Honda quality is still there.

Not that this would make up that much of a difference in price, but wasn't the Big Red made in Mexico? With the Pioneer's being produced in America, maybe the shipping and tariffs make up some of that difference in price.

Doesn't NAFTA make it tariff free?
