What full windsheild does anyone recommend?

I want to get a full windsheild for the cold months ahead. There are a lot of different ones to pick from and would like anyones suggestions. Right now I only have a DiamondBack roof on the Big Red.

I have a kolpin full tilt. it is expensive, but i like it a lot. you can remove the upper half very easily and roll on an half windshield. also i got a buddy who has a cheaper windsheild and it is falling apart after only 1 year.

Will that Kolpin w/s take on branches pretty good without getting too scratched up? Is there a protectant you can use on it to keep it from scratching?

Re: What full windsheild does anyone recommend?

I am in the market and I am trying to find the difference between between the kolpin windshield full tilt, quadboss full tilt, and the honda windscreen full tilt. They all are the same design but by the pics on the internet it looks as if the kolpin hugs the dash a little tighter. My dealer doesn't sell the kolpin, they sell the quadboss version and the honda windscreen....any thoughts??? I'm hoping to get it ordered soon.

Re: What full windsheild does anyone recommend?

I have made my own windshield and cab enclosure. I've used 1/4 and 1/2 inch plywood and lexan for a windshield. I had some porthole style windows that I used. This is all prototype work and when I am satisfied with what I have I will fabricate everything out of 1/8 aluminum and use automotive glass for the windshield and it will be hinged and maybe removable. I'm clamping everything onto the roll cage so as not to defeat it's integeraty and safety plus I want to be able to remove everything for summer use.
Here are a couple of pictures and a link to photobucket.

That's what I have been wanting to make oldtrucks. I want a safety glass windshield because it just makes sense. Plus, if the windshield does crack or break then just get a replacement piece from a glass shop. I would be bery interested if you start selling them.

I haven't thought about selling something like this, I would have to think about it. I would have to do a fairly detailed cost survey to see if my design would be cost effective to build. To build "one" will be a bit expensive that is why I'm doing it the way I am. I will keep you up dated.
