    which air filter

New owner and have read about cleaning the filter very often. What is the best filter for the Big Red so I don't need rings in a years time. I'm not real wild about snorkeling it and running a pipe upwards. I don't drive it in the water or abuse this thing, I use it to unwind with after work and some hunting.

I am running a Moose Triple Air Filter. Somewhat of a thick air filter. The difference between being snorkel and non-snorkel is night and day. I can speak from experience. My BR's air filter, now being snorkeled does not nowhere near get as dirty as quickly as it did not being snorkeled.

if you paint your snorkel with one of the PVC paints, i used a hammered metal gray..... it tends blend in and not noticeable.

as for filters, the unifilter is the best you can get. get a good sticky filter oil and lube that joker up. but bottom line is that you're gonna be cleaning it often. to clean them, you have to spray them down with wd-40 to break down the filter oil. then soap and water clean it. then re-oil it which with a really nasty mess.

there are certain design quirks with the big red that could have been improved. the factory snorkel placement is one.

Snorkel it! I used it unsnorkeled for two hours. Air filter was filthy. The air intake is right behind the front tires. Poor design. I snorkeled it 10 hours ago and the air filter is still clean. 135 bucks on eBay for a great snorkel kit and the PVC is black. Just like the roll cage.
