found the holy grail for the big red

The FMF Powerline designed specifically for the Big Red..... which is no longer in production.

found the holy grail for the big red-%24-kgrhqfhjbufh-yc9zvwbsfns8glj-%7E%7E60_57.jpg

    Its mine.... ALL MINE!!!!! hahahahahahaha

This is my second powerline. the first was for a ranger 700 that i modified, but it eventually failed do to poor installtion on my part i.e bad engineering for mounting. So just wanted to gloat some. BTW not running 30" silverbacks. having the stock exhaust and a zero program on the power commander sucks majorly. can REALLY tell the difference. i'll send a picture of it installed once it arrives.

Sounds like you're one lucky dude! Let us know what you think of the sound once you get it bolted up and remember, videos always make it better

already the exact same exhaust on, just this one has that outlet pipe which will hopefully make it a little quieter in the cab. it shipped today.... next i am going for a readily available solution for outboard CV joints. i just had one replaced under warranty and was able to keep the broken parts. planning on scouring cv axle supplier catalogs to see if i can find a replacement or maybe something heavier duty.

not sure about stronger, just exact replacement. i think i've already found the outboard CV's for $89, just need to confirm spline counts.

yea so just got off the phone with the local CV axle shop. They have the joint in stock. I'll be taking my lunch break tomorrow and paying them a visit. once we find a good replacement, then we can start crossing p/n's to find something with a little more strength.

Re: found the holy grail for the big red

ok so..... no luck with the local guy. so i went right to the manufacturer. the issue is that this line of CV is for OEM's and not available to even manufacturers. So now to move on to the next level, finding something that can be made to fit.

Consequently i spoke with the guys at motor master about this and they are actually looking at designing them. i'll need to see if they interchange with the pioneers, which i would think they do. if so then they would have a larger owner base to be manufacturing for. I actually have a call in to their mechanical engineer to see where they are at on them. the CV joint is basically a 2007 suzuki kingquad 700 rear outboard CV except with 24 splines instead of the 26 on the KQ. hey, maybe i can be a tester??? wouldn't that be spiffy.

Man that hasn't been an easy task! I know they are really pricey, but Turner Axles make some wicked axle shafts and CV's. Maybe they have something in stock that would work?

I have the same pipe. Installed in 10 mins...nice tone. Curious to hear what you think of the performance.

Re: found the holy grail for the big red

extreme difference, even with a zero tune loaded on my power commander. switched back to my normal tune and we were back in business. looking at getting a slip-on extension to the exit pipe to pipe the noise further out back. but yes very quick installation. wish they still made these. the big gun i had was total crap!
