I ordered my 2" lift today from highlifter. I hope to have it installed this weekend. Then to decide on tires and maybe some new wheels. (and finish the trailer....wife wants to park in the garage again....)

Got it put on today, the front was fast, 25 minutes or so...The rear took nearly an hour and I used some of my redneck ingenuity so I didn't have to take more stuff off to get it on.
I gained 1-1/8 of an inch total. Still debating on bigger tires.

Does the lift put axles in a bad bind? Do you have to do anything diffrent with the driveshaft?
thinking of doing a 2" lift to mine when the bighorns wearout and go with some 27" mild tires
, the bigred is the wifes ride and backroad beer wagon so it doesnt have to be an offroad beast
but dont want to lift it if its not going to be rite....
My axles are fine, I have had 0 issues with them from the lift. I do alot of heavy hauling in soft and hard ground. I recently added 27" 589's and everything is still good to go. I have been happy with the lift. You may need help doing the rear. I used a sledge hammer handle to move the A-arms where i needed them.

How well does the BR handle them 27" tires? I want bigger tires and 14" wheels on mine but
was kind of afraid in diff lock in mud it wouldnt have the balls to pull a 27" tire.....ive got a rancher i
play on and BR is cooler wagon but still if i ever got it in the situation id want it to turn em
ive ran 30" mudzillas on mine since day one back in 09 with a 3" strong made lift and i've never had any issues with a few performance i did to it so i don't see why 27's would be a problem
09 big red
3" lift, 2" snorkel, 31" outlaws,4500 lb winch, pcIII, custom pro circuit exhaust
coming soon: custom front and rear bumper, custom roof with radio and speakers, web cam, port and polished head
What performance mods did you do?
I only have a modified muffler. Mine handles the 27" ok with no issues.

How did you like the Big Red lift kit?
I like it. I took off my swaybar as well and no issues.

Re. 2012 Big Red...doing 2"xtreme lift + 14" wheels + 27" tires. The Big red also has an OEM plastic roof. Should i expect any problems getting it in a standard garage door?
