PLEASE HELP, WHERE IS THE ECM/ECU LOCATED ON MUV-700?

Can you guys please help me out with a problem I'm having? I'm looking for the ECM/ECU on a 2009 Honda Big Red MUV-700 UTV. I bought the MAGNUM REVOLUTION-PRO UTV Speed/REV Limiter CDI Box for a Honda Big Red that I've put quite a few performance upgrades on.

The Directions that came with the MAGNUM REVOLUTION-PRO CDI BOX doesn't tell me where the ECM/ECU is located in the Vehicle (MUV-700) itself. Can ANYBODY tell me where its located? I've got a electronics specialist I can take it to to have it installed if I can find it and get it to him.

    Here's what I'm looking for:

Please reply to this thread as soon as possible if you know where it is.

    Thanks,

Under the hood, on the firewall

The parts manual calls this PGM-Fi (programmed fuel injection)

    ECM/ECU is also correct

sorry, an exact location is in the main battery box...toward the firewall.
It is the 3 connector "box" shown in the picture (circled in red).

Re: PLEASE HELP, WHERE IS THE ECM/ECU LOCATED ON MUV-700?

Don't buy ANYTHING from Magnum! The Instructions or "High Notes" as they call them are vague at best, their customer service and tech support is a JOKE, and the company is a complete scam. I took the computer "PGM-FI Unit" to a electronics specialist that build computers and repairs automotive ECM/ECU's and he advised me not to have him try to install the MAGNUM REVOLUTION-PRO CDI BOX because he said their was a 95% chance it wouldn't work and he would destroy the computer trying to install it. I emailed Magnum and told them what he said and the owner himself assured me everything would work fine. So I gave the Electronics Specialist the go ahead, and sure enough once he did finally git inside the computer the board was nothing like the instructions it was. there wasn't even a spot to hook it in.

The OE PGM-FI Unit was destroyed so I did a lot of research and I found out that the MUV-700 UTV and the Rincon 680 ATV are just about the same in every way except for the Body/Chassis, rear end is geared 2 teeth higher, and the PGM-FI Unit has the Rev/Speed Limiter set at 2,500 RPM Higher than the MUV-700's. So I gambled and bought a new PGM-FI Unit for a 2009 Honda Rincon 680 to go on the Big Red MUV-700 with hopes that it would solve the 38mph top speed issue.

I got it in today and it plugged right up but it wont hit a lick all it will do is crank. Can ANYBODY help me and tell me what I might be able to do to make this 680 PGM-FI Unit work on my Big Red?

Re: PLEASE HELP, WHERE IS THE ECM/ECU LOCATED ON MUV-700?

i would be seriously surprised if a rincon 680 that has the exact same engine as the big red has a rev limiter that is 2500 rpm higher. in the world of engine redlines, THATS A LOT!!!!! plus your redline or the point at which the engine power curve typically drops off and where revlimiters are set is usually changed by different lift numbers on the cam. also the added RPMS would require a larger throttle body and possible injector. its really a streatch that it would allow for 2500 extra rpm. but if it works, i'll buy one tomorrow.

apparently the rincon revs to 6800 rpm. Couldn't find a number for big red.
