New to site, have a new 2012 Big Red.

I have a 2012 Big Red that I have an issue with.I changed oil at 20 hrs per dealer recommendation,Honda oil 10/40.My problem is that the transmission has not shifted the same when it is first started, cold. After it warms up it shifts fine.I wonder if the dealer recommended 10/40 by mistake?Has anyone also had a similar problem, thanks.

I believe that the Big Red came with lighter oil because it shifted fine before the oil change. Thanks for the reply.

My dealer recommended a 0 W 40 synthetic oil. Of course he recommended their "Honda" oil at $10.00 a quart. I have the 2010 Big Red and have about 150 hours on it. I bought it in Feb if this year, it was a left over machine and I got a good deal on it.

check your oil level with it running in gear.

but its always best to give it a minute to warm up especially in cold weather.
