Looking for feedback on Alpinestars GP Plus gloves....primarily if they offer decent crash protection.

Anyone out there crashed a set?

Thanks

yes, but i was off into the weeds and brush so quick they never saw macadam. but after three years of use and abuse they have held up extremely well. they really do kinda' fit like a glove too.

My pair is starting to show its age....I am trying to decide what to replace them with.

These gloves fit great, and are comfortable, but they aren't exactly cheap, so I want to know if they are crash worthy before buying another pair.

I have.  Twice.   However the gloves held up well.  First time was a low-side get-off at about 70-80 mph, and I ended up doing a nice little hand-plant on the palm of one glove in the process.  It scuffed the palm a bit, but seems to be fine for further wear.

Second time was a relatively low-speed high-side.  Did a bit of a slide and dragged the back of the gloves along the asphalt.  CF armour on the back took some scuffing, but did a great job at protecting the hands.  I just wish that the SMX boots I was wearing had done as good a job protecting my ankles as the gloves did with my hands.

Overall, I give them a big   , and will probably replace them with the same model when the time comes.

I have had 3 off's, on 3 different circuits and the gloves, have saved my hand, I got a crushed knuckle protector, but my hand was fine.

Just bought a new pair. Highly reccomended.

I haven't used those gloves (thought they will be my next purchase), but I know of several local guys who have crash-tested them and they all swear on them. One of them even tried to fix the scratched leather on them but could not get the old one remowed Heard lots of good about those gloves.

i had a 35 mph lowside and they held up perfectly. just a little scuff on the knuckle (plastic & carbonfiber part).
