About two weeks ago, I added to my compliment of personal riding gear. This marks the first time ever I've ridden in motorcycle-specific boots rather than work boots or black Doc Martens.

These Alpinestars 'Roam' Boots are an outstanding value methinks. Excellent construction, totally waterproof, easily broken in, good feel on the bike, smart looks and a decent price. Got mine from New Enough on sale for $126.00.

Click the link below. The Roams are the second boot on the page...

I would highly recommend a pair of these to any of you guys still riding in tennis shoes. Ankle injuries are second only to head trauma in motorcycle accidents.

Edit: The boots are remarkably comfortable too, both on and off the bike!

NinerPilot : Too bad they dont have them in Men's sizes.....
Huh?

These boots are available in an array of sizes, including men's Euro size 48, equivalent to a U.S. size 13. I bought the 47's (I normally wear a U.S. 12) and the boots fit perfectly.

Baketech : Quote (NinerPilot @ Aug. 31 2003, 2:45pm)I wear a 14-15 depending on the boot.

Its true Stretcher.....Chris is the only guy I know that can cover the rear brake with his feet on the pillion pegs......
Fine then. But he said 'men's sizes' - I'd submit that a size 15 stomper ain't 'mens' at all, rather is Yeti sizing!

NinerPilot : Oh come on, we have a great place here, dont mind me and my big #### kickers.....
Chris
I dunno. Your foot size puts a whole new spin on the phrase, 'I'll put a boot up your ass!'

Cross Nebraska and Tennessee off my itinerary. In one state I will be stuffed into a mailbox and in the other, more than likely squashed like a bug under Sasquatch's foot
