I"m looking at the Alpinestars Effex and the Sidi CHampion Tepor

anyone? bueller...?

i want waterproof, comfortable, and ones that will look like regular shoes

Princess has the Champions, and I have the GT Sympatex. I'll probably need a new pair next year, and I haven't decided which ones to go with. I might switch to the Champions too. (They just provide less shin protection.)

I have had a couple pairs of A/S gore tex sport touring boots...

Upside...
Fairly waterproof, assuming you are wearing your pants over instead of in...
Comfortable enough to walk in...
Unobtrusive looks, as in no one will notice them...

Downside...
Less protection than sportier boots...

Still, I wear mine quite a bit when touring.... :twocents:

AStars Roam. Super comfi right out of the box :thumb:

I took out the bottom and replaced it with a DR Scholls massaging type gel bed and I can wear those things all day :smilebig:

They're very comfortable, don't have any bling (flat black), and have yet to leak.

You might want to check out the Daytona Sportmax. Have been using them for two years as its still holding up. Its similiar to the sidi champion but with better comfort and quality plus nothing beats the goretex liner.

ended up going with the Sidi Champion Tepor...they fit my fat feet pretty well, and are warm and comfy...haven't had much of a chance to test them in the rain yet though...more on that later
