I just ordered one of these for the World's Fastest Tomato!

http://www.eurobikes.com/bagtechup.htm

I had been holding out hope that Bagster would come out with a tank protector and attaching bag for the '04 red (like the setup Conq and Princess enjoy), but they haven't found a suitable color match for the material (insert pink bike jokes here). In any case, I think this Tech'Up Tank Bag will work every bit as well and I've already got a Tankslapper so my paint should be well protected.

I got 10% off and free shipping too, part of their Fall sale! $140 shipped! :hyper:

Two thumbs up for Eurobikes.com -> :thumb: :thumb:

Yeah, the little 8L Tour Master Mini Cortech simply doesn't hold enough and, unlike this Bagster, it's not terribly secure at speed and it touches too much paint when it's on.

The Tech'Up only touches the tank on three small, soft pads.

Edit: Looks like the Bagster unit is over three times the size of the Tour Master. Once I put this thing on, I doubt I'll ever remove it. Just ride around with it on all the time, making errand running and commuting on the bike alot more viable. Hell, a guy can do light grocery shopping with a 25L bag at his disposal.

Did you ever look into the tail bag (forgot the company) that attaches to the rear seat ?

I bought a Ventura Tail Bag system and installed it. It looked like ass though, so I pulled it back off and returned it for a refund.

I used my Tour Master Tail Bag for my Rockies run and it worked very well, but I found myself wishing for more tank bag space.

This should solve it once and for all.

That would be it.

I liked my tank bag setup on the seca II but dont know how much I would like it on the rc. Just looks like tight quarters from the tank forward to be using a tank bag :idunno:
I had a Bagster and a LuggageLocker for the XX and that combination gave me lots of storage.
THE TECH'UP BAG IS EXPANDABLE TO A FULL 25 LITER CAPACITY. BIG ENOUGH TO CARRY A FULL SIZE HELMET
what do they determine to be a full size helmet, a Large? what about the 3xl Shoei that goes on a certain persons head around here.

Was the LL sturdy? I always stayed away from tail bags cause they look like the slightest thing and shit goes flying down the highway :hmm:

Yep. Very well made. (I had one for the 929 too.)

I have Tourmaster Sport Tailbag with lots of miles since I use it every time out, no problems works great. I have avoided tank banks since the RR tank cover is not metal and I already have to much storage up front (fat) to get down on the tank good. I expect the more upright position on some bikes would make tank bags better but the RR stays :evilaugh:

Interesting... might have to do more research into tail bags :thumb:
