I know others have mentioned that the transparent film over the camo pattern on the dump box side panels is peeling. :thumbd: Mine is as well. Is this supposed to be a protective film or the type of transparent film that is supposed to be removed as on screen protectors on newly purchased clocks, phones etc.? :idunno: This looks to be a problem keeping it glued on if it is to stay on permenantly (powerwashing etc.) If it is to stay on, are there any successful glue suggestions? Camo paint/print also appears to be pealing off of the hood but there is no transparent film on the hood as there is on the dump box sides.

I don't have the camo version but I have the same issue with the decal peeling. Other than peeling it off and reapplying a new decal I don't see anything else working at this stage. Once they start to peel the sticky film tends to get full of dust which can be seen very clearly on the red background. I don't see anyway this could be cleaned and any product that reattaches the decal will only keep the dirt preserved for the life of product.

Thanks and I understand your comment about reapplying. Just to be clear about what you are calling a decal...on my camo version on the box sides, the decal is a clear transparent film that has been applied over the camo print on the box wall. If you were to completely peel off the transparent film decal, the camo print would remain on the box wall as well as the BIG RED 4X4 lettering. Does this jive with what you have minus the camo print or does BIG RED 4X4 lettering come off with your decal?
On another note, I have noticed that some of the camo print on the hood is peeling away just above the wheels and there is no transparent film on the hood, that is to say, if this were to continue, my hood would end up being all tan and no camo...:hmm: It seems like I remember someone else describing this elsewhere on the forum but I can't find it anymore...
Thanks

To be honest I have never laid eyes on a camo BR so I was basing it on my decal. Does this problem exist on other brands of machines. I have only ever heard about it on the BR's and also do remember someone else posting about it on here.

Hey I'm new to this forum and yes I have experienced this. I was power washing my BR at the car wash with the wand and it peeled some off of the hood. I was kind of surprised because I had a Camo Kawasaki Brute Force before and I never had that problem. If I was power washing or trailblazing it never gave me any trouble. I guess this camo just aint as tough.

Only garden hose.....Except for that 1 time when the camo peeled off. LOL. I really aint too worried bout it though. I mean between the hood being a tan color underneath and the bike usually staying dirty I cant really even tell. I guess if it was a show bike then I would worry but I work it hard so it doesn't really matter to me.

Thanks. You have a good point. I am probably just being anal about it.:crap: It just seems for as much as they cost, this simple detail could have been addressed. As I have mentioned earlier in the forum, some people might consider me to be a clean freak with my Hippo: don't mind getting it dirty but want it clean immediately afterwards. So I will probably eventually have to settle for a powerwashed clean machine but one that is Desert Storm Tan rather than camo.:thumbd:
Is anyone aware of any warnings in the operators manual etc. against powerwashing? Can't find any so far...
