Finally got my Ez-Up Shelter, and thought I would share my thoughts. Could not find one I liked at a retail store, so I ended up ordering with my coupon from Ez-Up Direct.

Once the order was placed, Ez-Up immediately billed my card, but did not ship my shelter for over 3 weeks....a poor start.

Once I got the shelter, I was disappointed to find that the bag is about 6" shorter than the shelter, and does not have a carry strap. This means that the drawstring (that works poorly anyway) does not cinch the bag around the contents, but is free to slide up and down the legs. This is especially annoying when trying to carry the thing without a strap of some sort. It's a bulky object, and hard to lug around this way. That the bag is too short, and has no strap just seems odd....considering the cost of the shelter, it's just plain stupid.

I emailed Ez-Up, and they responded in a timely fashion. They said that the bags have always been that short, and do not have a strap....but they would be glad to sell me one that does for an extra $100.....LOL

The shelter itself is a nice piece...reasonable quality and functions well.

In short, I thought I was doing the right thing by purchasing a branded shelter, and ended up getting screwed anyway. Make sure you understand what you are getting before you buy.

Your mileage may vary...

I've been very happy with mine. I got the sam's club special (I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about) for around $190. It is great quality and fits in the supplied bag. I think g-force junkie had one at Grattan I.

I'm sorry that your experience was not the same. Will they let you return it?

I can post pics of mine if you like. I would highly recommend it the aforementioned style. Good luck!

I asked if they would exchange it....they said no....

For the life of me I can't understand why they would sell some with a bag that fits, and some with a bag too short.... :idunno:

BT, first off all, where the hell have you been lately??? :D

Thanks for the advice on EZ-ups; that is absolutely phucked up. I'm sure you could find a local seamstress to make you a really nice bag for a whole lot less than $100 if you provided the materials. A velcro closure would be better than a drawstring.

I just bought the 12'x12' at Cabela's in Kansas City for $150. The bag fits and has a strap and rollers. It's a great quality item. It's really odd that your direct-order experience was less than great. :crap:

Yeah I guess you do need a new one since you trashed that other one you had! :smilebig: Make sure you weight this one down.
