Looking to get my girlfriend more into riding, with the hopes of her getting her own one day.

Anyone have any suggestions on gear to get her started? I'm thinking her riding with me is going to be pretty infrequent, so I'm not looking to break the bank. I'm sure she'd look pretty damn hot in some Dainese and a nice Shoei X11, but she's not there yet.

That gets expensive too. We spent a bundle buying two of everything for our MX gear.

I'm with you guys :thumb: As I've been looking around, I'm having a hard time with getting her anything different than I would get myself.

I'm assuming that since the RF-1000 has come out, the 900's should drop in price. I'm already finding some around $200. I figure my local stealership should have some good close outs too, plus I can get %10 off there since I purchased the 954 from them.

As for gear, I really think she would look good in some Dainese, so I think I'll be on the hunt for something really nice for her. Lucky girl

Yep, if I got my GF into riding (she's talking about dirt bikes right now) she would have only the best stuff. I couldn't forgive myself if she hurt herself because of crap gear.

You know, if you buy her gear, she's going to want to ride with you. Believe me, that's not a good time for anyone.

"Turn here, slow down, watch out, shouldn't you be in 3rd gear, blah blah blah..."

I put a Targa solo seat on and told my wife there's no way to put the pillion back on.

Riding the "Pace" with a skilled pillion is a serious hoot, every bit as fun as sport riding, but in a different way...

This will be the killer...

So we've talked about it, and she wants a HD Sportqueer.

Don't get me wrong, my first bike was a cruiser and I'll probably build a custom hardtail in the next couple of years once I get done with my current 1969 GMC 1500 project. But, I was kind of trying to lead her down the road of an F4I.

I think once she gets a taste of the 954 she'll realize how much more enjoyable they are.
