Hey gang!

I need a helmet pretty bad...anyone know of one that the pads can be taken out and washed? I know an AGV X-Vent, and V Flyer can, but any others out there? I want a nice helmet..but I want a kick ass deal? so anyone know where I can get one?

thanks!

they do seem nice, I need to go try some on. I wish there was a graphic that I loved...maybe there is! MAWAHAHA!

you know, I had a AGV rossi X vent that got nabbed with my bike, and I loved it. Since then I have been using my older Rossi AGV Q3pro. my friend, who also have a q3pro bought his in europe, and its light as all hell....same helmet too...is that the DOT laws in the states???????????

Almost all Arais have removable pads, but because they went with their "screw the customer" policy, you'll be lucky to find a good deal.
Go with a Shoei.
Exactly why I bought a Shoei. I would have bought an Arai, now glad I didn't, the X11 is as good or better than anything Arai has put out thus far.

My Arai Rx7-RR4 has a removable liner, as does the newer Arai RX7-Corsair. The Shoei X-11 does, too. I demo'd the Shoei X-11 on the track and it was way quieter than my RR4. It'll likely be my next helmet. So, I'd recommend either the Shoei X-11 or the Aria Corsair.

I can't say enough about how much I love my X-11. Light, great field of vision, awesome graphics, incredible ventilation. You need one! :thumb:

Have you looked into HJC? :eyebrows:

I have, they have a nice line, but I really found them to be more noisy then others. but thats just MO. I think my Xvent was quiet as heck...and my Q3pro is not so quiet...all I want it a helmet that is safe, pads/lining come out, and is quiet! Oh yea, it has to look kewl! :D

I was yanking your chain :D I used to own one. I wouldn't even use one for a passenger helmet, I can't stand them personally
ROFL, I was being nice! ;) "they have a nice line..." LOL its the Vance and Heinse of Helmets IMO.

:D I've tried a few helmets lately-- Arai Corsair, AGV XR-2, Tried for fit Shoei X11. They are great helmets. Wish I could have ride tested the X11. But from all comments it is obviously at the top of the list. However, just to be a contrary son-of-a beetch, I have just ordered an OGK FF-3GP. http://www.helmetharbor.com/streethelmets/helmets/ogk/opening.htm

I wanted a yellow and black helmet to match ( :idunno: ) my '02 silver and black 954. Plus I read some pretty good reviews of this lid. Ultra-light! Wanted to try it so there ya' go. Should have it by the end of the week. In the meantime I picked up this HJC CL-14 (see pic) cheap on ebay a couple months back, and I have to say it's not bad. They have definitely made improvements to their line in the last year.

You are probably wondering why I'm standing in my kitchen wearing leathers and a helmet. It's a little game my girl and I play..."Ben Bostrom and the Swedish Maid" :smokin:

Why does that helmet state "track use only", and "NOT DOT approved for street". I don't understand, how can a helmet be track proof but not street?

BTW - I may be looking at the Norick 5 TC-1 X-Eleven thanks to you guys :D
