Hurricane Igor

Well we are finally on the other side of hurricane Igor and I must say what a ride. Lots of damage and washed out roads in the area. I had been planning on heading over to my parents to pickup my Big Red but the only road linking us to the rest of the province is washed out so those plans are on hold. Really wish I had my bike and truck so I could get around and help clean up the trees that were knocked down. Lots of firewood to be had for free if I had a means to get it.

Living down south I understand what you speaking of with the trees down.
Got pictues of the damage?
I don't have many as I never ventured far from home but are a few others have taken. A few buddies have been out on the trails and they are saying everything is in pretty bad shape. Hopefully I will get my bike bake this week and head out to see for myself.

Did you or your family experience any property damage?
In my opinion the only thing worse than a hurricane is a tornado. However, I have never experienced a earthquake.
Most people on my street had flooded basements but I got off lucky with only a small broken branch and the lid of my garbage book blowing off. To be honest the winds we can deal with as we live in a fairly windy area but it was the large amount of rain we had in such a short period of time that led to most of the devastation. I had my dads excavator last year for a few weeks and installed a few culverts that took care of the water.
