I've heard good things about ICON gloves.
Now I need a new helmet and am wondering if anyone here has a recommendation one way or the other about their Mainframe helmet.
Interested in weight, comfort, visibility, etc.
Thanks for any info ---- llhank

a buddy of mine bought one and loves it. He was a die hard shoei fan like me and now gives me crap about wasting money on my x-11. But he did have a problem with the cheek pads at first but they break in quickly. all this is relative because of the different shaped heads we have but as far as visibilty he liked and noise wasnt much of an issue.

I wonder how they last long term...... Have a friend who really liked AGVs. After a year it looked like a 10 year old helmet!

I have a Mainframe Halo. Nice comfortable helmet. Only problem is I think the venting isn't as good as it could be, but it makes for a pretty quiet helmet. I would buy another one. I also have a pair of Superduty gloves and I like them also

By the way I got it all from NHfirefighter13. :thumb:

ICON is made by HJC. :idunno: They're pretty nice for a mid-range helmet. I haven't actually had the opportunity to try one on so I don't have anything to compare the comfort to. They do seem pretty light though.

I am now sporting an alliance aggressor model, it fits great & the ventilization is superp! Although it can be a little whistley!!!

I was thinking of getting a halo. I havent tried one on yet, but I think they look pretty sharp. If money wasnt an issue I would get an aria, but money is an issue. I cant see paying $500 for a helmet. I also have a pair of Icon and teknic gloves. The icons are a lot more confortable. They seen to make good products.

I have several AGV helemts and they all look brand new (just ask any of the Grattan attendees . . .). My newest one is 3 years old.
