How tight are these supposed to fit? I pusrchased a size 48 in Astars and I am about 5ft11 212-215 area 46-47 inch chest, but when I tried on a JR the 48 seemed semi snug, is that the way they are supposed to fit? How much will the leather loosen and fit to a body? :idunno:

They guy at the retail shop said they are meant to be a snug fit and not like a regular jacket of course.

not really sure exactly how they should fit but they are formed to be ina hunched over position. So they won't fit right when just standing there. did you bend over and arch your arms when you tried it on?

I actually went out and sat on my bike with it on..however that was the JR and not the Astars..

It was a snug fit, but I know that leather loosens up over time.. But, I'm not sure how snug its supposed to be?

Leave room for a sweatshirt/back protector underneath....good rule of thumb to go by methinks.

I'm 5'11 ~160lbs and wear a 46 A* and I have room for a longsleeve and an A* tech back protector.
sounds like a good idea to me. my problem with my Fieldsheer jacket (textile not leather) is that its too big even though its a xs (38/40, probably 38 with the liner in and 40 with it out) I'm just too short. It bunches up in the front when I ride and gets a little annoying but nothing I can do, when I get my new jacket I'll make sure it fits really good. For the time being this one is really good for cold weather since it has the nice full sleeve thinsulate lining and I can still get a sweatshirt on if its really cold.

Thats what I was afraid of.. Not meant for comfort, meant for protection.

Thanks
Not really, a close fit and comfort are not mutually exclusive. It can fit snugly, but if it's cut well it will bend where you bend, and you won't even know it's there.... :thumb:

Well when it gets here we will just have to see how she feel's.

Thank goodness they dont have a restock fee for swapping out the jacket for a larger size! :thumb:
