Anyone else have them? I'm talking about the strap with a handle on each side that goes around your waist. Its for your passenger to hold onto. Just bought one and was wondering if anyone has ever lost a passenger using it.

W hat's a passenger  Oh you mean the extra weight on the back that screws up handling on a wonderful bike :evilaugh:

Don't your passengers know how to hold on? Maybe you should explain things better? :idunno: If your passengers are small enough that their feet don't touch the pegs, they are too small to be on the bike. They should just have their hands on your hips dude! :thumb:

Thought you were talking about these... :idunno:
tell them to get their own bike. you take them for one or 2 rides to give them the feeling then tell them to get their own. I've only given a few rides and I make sure before we even get onthe bike to run down a few things with them. hold onto my waist or all the way around but don't squeeze like hell, when stoping they can put their hands on the tank so as not to push me forward if they can reach, tell them to just turn their head in the direction we're turning and don't lean either way. basically just sit there like a lump. I've been a passenger twice in my life, once before getting a bike and I think this past september and let me tell you that second time was scary as fucking hell and we only rode for like a minute or 2 from one parking lot to another.

Blah, blah, blah.........I have to take the wife for a ride once in a while since her name is also on the bank note. :p But seriously I used the belt today and found that she really likes it. Its about half the price of the Buddy Belt too.
I like the fact that she doesnt have to put her hands on the tank anymore thus reducing the risk of scratches, hand prints, etc and its not as taxing having a passenger without them leaning against you all the time.
As far as extra weight affecting the handling of the bike....if you cant ride well with a passenger maybe you cant ride well at all. :evilaugh: J/K I cant afford a good passenger toting bike along with the Blade so it will have to do double duty.

When my sis used to ride with her bf they used to use just a plain old belt as well. They tried a few different ways but that was their favorite.

I need to try something new for next summer cause my girl doesnt ride with me all that often but when she does the whole hold me and push off the tank thing just doesnt work for us

BLEAT!!! Of course you do have to admit it makes the front end light and moves the center of gravity up a notch or three. I have always hated passengers :idunno:
