Just purchased a garmins 2610 III gps I just havent figured out where to mount it on my 954....Any suggestions are welcomed pictures are prefered thanx
For power, I usually use the Garmin hardwire kit, and solder some eyelets onto it to attach it directly to the battery. Some people like to tap into the headlight power so that the GPS goes off when the bike is off, but I prefer the direct route.
What Conq said, HondaGal has a similar set up on her 954 for GPS and/or satellite radio. The ram mounts from cycle gadgets are the way to go! :thumb:
I'll try to snap some pics of her bike later today. I think she attached the ram mount to the bolts that hold on the throttle housing.
I am picking up the Garmin SP530 soon and all this info has been very helpful. I am going to use the stock mounting base in the car to swap the unit around when needed.
