Those gloves are nice!!!

I've had my Teknics for a long time...since 2000, they are the first edition of the Violator series. There are no holes in them and have broken in very well. I hope the new Teknic stuff is the same as the old.

The kangaroo does better in crashes for abrasion resistance, but the sweat from your hands tends to dry it up and make it brittle faster than other leathers. I have had my Violator Pros now for over 2 years. My first pair is starting to show its age so I have switched to my second pair (they were $70 from newenough.com at the time so I picked up 2 pairs).

Fit and finish are superb. I had a set of Violator pros from new enough and the palm lasted 2 years. So for the amount of riding I did, it was well worth it. I liked them sooo much I got these new 04 Silver Violators, to me they are some of the best, most comfortable gloves out there. If they last 2 years they are worth it again. They seem ALOT more built up than the chrome knuckle ones. The lack of chrome is a good thing IMHO. The outer palm and pinkey now have better padding. The palm is as good or better than the chrome ones. Closure system is the same. I got them on Ebay for 110 dollars shipped. Thats 10 bucks cheaper than anywhere Ive seen and thats W/O shipping. I wish newenough would start having them on clearance again.

Mine lasted less than 14,000km(8750miles). I can't remember the exact km's, but it was probably even less than 14k. Anyway, kangaroo skin may be tough... I think mine were rat skin. :idunno:

Seriously... they were the most comfortable gloves I've ever had but what's a glove without a palm? Frigging rat skin.

I've owned quite a few pairs of gloves... for some reason, I always end up with a stack. My Kangaroo palms were the weakest of any. (Well, 2nd weakest but that was a $20 glove story.)

They look good and were comfy but mine were made from rat skin. YMMV.

maw got them gloves for 99 bucks, not much a difference but thats free shipping too

I checked them out at the motorcycle dealer last week... they have MUCH different palms than the ones I had. I suspect they have fixed whatever problems I had. :thumb:

I bought a set of the Violators with Kangaroo palms a few years back. I had the same experience - very comfy, an awesome glove, until you get some mile sunder them. I was very pissed at just how quickly the kangaroo palm dried up and cracked. I was riding about 50000km a year back then, so they lasted all of about 4 months (the summe rmonths too...) And over here, they are a $US200 investment.

I bought the model down with the cowhide all over next, and they are still going over 2 years later.
