Well after much thought and some great opinions from all you .org-ers that replied to my earlier post (Thanks BTW) my new Alpinestars "Stunt" shoes (black) came in for store, work or school trips, they have a buckle over the laces so they should be pretty safe as far as looping the controls issue goes, not much protection but cant have everything. Also for more "serious" riding, like my up coming trackday, I got some Alpinestars SMX-Plus (white) boots...very comfy :thumb: and I also scored some Alpinestars SP-1 (grey) gloves...very comfy as well but dont seem too "warm weather friendly", looks like I'll need another pair when I move back to the AZ....oh well I'll be in AZ then so who cares :D

Sweet, let me know how the street boots work out. I know how the SMX+'s are, so enjoy them. I'm very interested in the street boot though.

Alpinestars Stunt Shoe? Where did you find that?

I almost got shoes myself. One of the Joe Rocket models(can't recall the actual model name) But I opted for the Alpinestars Roam Waterproof boots. What the hell is up with Alpines only coming in half sizes? I wear a 10, but they only offered my boots in 9 and a half or 10 and a half. Is this common?

Not exactly the most comfy boots, but they were fairly inexpensive, and thats a major concern of mine right now. They feel sturdy as hell though.

http://www.alpinestars.com/_lp/moto_boots_road.htm 3rd row up from the bottom far right side. I ordered them through my local Parts Unlimited dealer think they retail for $100 or so, I got hooked up with a discount and paid $70 for them, mine are size 11 so I guess this isnt too common for their "street" shoe.
