I've had one of these on my Arai since the beginning of May and I have to admit that I really kinda like it. I got the red insert so it's difficult to impossible to see it react to the light but when I'm wearing it the brightness always seems to be about the same level whether I'm in a shady area or in direct sunlight. It doesn't turn completely clear at night but it does get light enough to not be a problem. They go for about $20-25 and come in different colors. If you don't like carrying around different shields or don't like to wear sunglasses under your helmet give one of these a try.

Where did you get them? I only found one place in the UK that has them so far they were called the Reactalite visor insert. Sounds like a great idea. I don't like wearing sun glasses because it limits vision and they are uncomfortable under the helmet.

nhfirefighter13 : Sweet. The only complaint I have about them is that at night I get these weird reflections/double images off oncoming headlights and such. Not sure if it's just cuz I wear glasses also or not.
I noticed that too but it's a whole lot better then being stuck with a tinted visor at night.

As of this year, I think, FogCity makes a new insert. The hype is that it's 'optically correct' and won't do the halo think at night.

I think I'll give one a try if I can get the 20 on one.

PS: Don't know if they have a website. Google is your friend!
