Ok...So I live in Vegas and I ride year round out here...I get by just fine with a textile jacket and some long johns when I go for rides...The thing is, the wind bites at my neck. When its 28 degrees its an ass kicker...Aside from the colllar on my textile jacket can anyone recommend some kind of gear to keep me covered? I'd rather stay as warm as possible this winter

Scarf or even a fleece kneck warmer (used to wear one religiously when I snowboarded) :thumb:

Get a Gerbing heated jacket liner. Had mine for 3 years now. Worth every penny. No matter what temp it is, I'm comfortable. With only a t-shirt under it. Just a lot more convenient to carry a single garmet instead of having to wear multiple layers. I wear mine under my leathers.

I'm a wimp. When it gets into the 30's I use an e-vest AND a fleece neck warmer. The neck warmer alone is nice when it's cool enough to "bite your neck" but not cold enough to turn on the vest.

Hell I use my e-jacket when it's in the 50s around here. :) The high humidity (only when it's cold) area this is makes it feel a lot colder than it really is.

Yeah, that makes a big difference. It's usually pretty dry here. I've had some cold rides in the Santa Cruz mountains during early Summer. :)

GonZilla, here's the neck warmer I have: Turtle Fur

You can get them at REI, Sports Authority, Sport Chalet...and I think I got mine at Cycle Gear.
Thats the one I use :thumb:

I also have one that has a little elastic at the bottom which is nice cause it makes a little seal almost

Vegas can in fact get fairly cold, and does see snow on occasion. However, the cold there doesn't compare to true winter wonderlands.
But what do I know, not being a part of the 'snow belt' and all. We never get any snow or cold temps.

Well Im from MN...I know how winter is...So, when it does get cold in Vegas, Im not referring to it as winter time, just the winter months...We do have a mountain that I snowboard on about 45 minutes away :thumb:

Mt.Charleston. The skiing there isn't all that bad, either.
