Well, after some precision finagling of the garage arrangement, I was able to get the XR400 out.

A cool side-effect of this is, I found some cool trails through the woods right at the back of our neighborhood! I'll have to explore them more indepthly when the snow melts.

I remember with my KLR, I rode it one day in the snow then put it up without knocking the ice off and went to ride later. I couldnt restart it because water was frozen in the pipe. Mom wasnt home so I moved the coffee table out of the den, used what I thought was an old tarp (turned out to be a tablecloth :nono: ), and rolled the bike infront of the fireplace to get it thawed to restart.....

Yep, dirt bikes suck on ice. They're pretty fun in the snow though. And if you get real thirsty you just grab a handful of snow when you stop for a break....I crash too much to wear a Camelback.

I am with you HondaGal...One of the reasons I sold my 4 wheeler is b/c I was tired of hiking that thing everywhere just to go for a little ride. :rant:

How well do dirtbikes handle in the snow? I was thinking about getting one for the next Michigan winter. My truck sucks.
