Anyone know anything about Spyke leathers? Are they supposed to be good quality? Any idea how they fit compared to AGV?

No idea how they fit, but from everything I have heard, they are "top shelf" stuff.

Then again, you shouldn't trust someone who ripped you off when he sold you a certain exhaust system.

Nice stuff. I tried a suit of theirs on once, and in hindsight I should have bought it. $1400 suit and I could have had it for 700. Timing wasn't right though.

It was really comfy. Thick leather and lots of armor.

I picked an AGV suit over the Spyke, mainly due to the cost.

If you have the $$$, then Spyke is a good choice. :thumb:

I bought a set of AGV's, then took them back and dropped the extra $$'s to get the Spykes. The fit was a lot better for me, and they are way more comfortable. Mine are a two piece set that I picked up at Laguna Seca a few years back. They've held up great and I heartily recommend them. My only beef is that the full circumference zipper doesn't line up well, so sometimes it can be a bitch getting the damn thing zipped up. But once aligned, all is well.

Had a minor getoff at a trackday a few weeks ago and all they got was dirty. I hit shoulder first and the armor worked great, no bruising at all. My helmet was toast from the impact, but my leathers were great. It wasn't too fast, but I still appreciated their quality. :thumb:

Where can you get Spyke leathers at? I've searched and searched and all I could find were sites over in Europe. Anything in the U.S.?

To be honest with you, I can't recall. I had the AGV's for about a half day, before I took them back to the vendor. Mostly for me it was the cut of the suit. The AGV's had a tendency to bunch up at my neck and back, since the shoulders were cut on the wide side. They also felt a bit bulkier than the Spykes; not sure if that was due to the type of leather they used or the cut itself. My Spykes are a size 54 and I'm a tick over 5'9" running about 170lbs. They're a comfortable fit, not too snug, so I can layer underneath to a point.

P.S. Here's a pic of me in my suit from a few years ago.

33" waist. I wear a Knox protector. It's a little flatter than the ones with the plastic ridges, but I can still layer comfortably with it on. Where are you getting the leathers from? I thought kneedraggers used to carry them, but I notice they're not anymore. I honestly can't remember who the vendor was I purchased mine from at Laguna Seca. :idunno:
