·Does 80PSI cold sound normal for 12" trailer tires?
...it depends on ply rating and load carrying ranges. 12 inchers can be pretty high if they're 6 ply tires.G-Force Junkie said:Hell no. 80 is typicaly a "D" range truck tire like on big pickups/dulies. Most full size trailer tires are P or LT rated, usualy good to around 50 psi. But it should be printed on the tire sidewall.
Sorry forgot to include that the sidewall states max pressure to be 80PSI cold. Seemed a little high to me? :idunno:Rigor said:what does the tire say on the sidewall? some are as high as 90 psi.
use whatever the MFG'er says to use. failure with anyother PSI is your fault, in their eyes. :idunno:

the larger the tire, the more room it has for expansion and load absorption.G-Force Junkie said:Interesting...Ive never seen anythng under 15 take over 65.
