Oh damn, there goes $99. I have the handy stand combo pack already and am very happy with it (especially for the value). But I have wanted to get a headstock stand because the forks are the next thing I'm looking at doing.

Yep, thats even my 929 in the first picture. I bought mine from the maker, I have nothing to do with that Ebay seller. He just pulled my pic off the website. Pitbull stands are better, but the handy stands can't be beat for the price. I have no complaints with them.
So, these are in fact "handystands"? And the ebay guy is just selling them on his own?

I only ask cause they do look decent, and I hate to give in and pay the big duckets up to pitbull just for the name.

The ones in the pics are handy stands, no clue if the guy is actually selling handy stands....or something he made and painted orange. Since his price is the same as the price from handy industries, no real reason to use the ebay guy with the questionable product. Just go straight through the maker and eliminate any questions on if it's the real product or not.

I have the handy stand combo for $99 and have been using it for at least 2 seasons with lots of luck... my bike spends all winter up on the stands and I feel very secure that nothing will happen to it while on them. I am however looking to now replace the fr with a tripple clamp lift one. For the extra $40 I think I would get a pit bull for that purpose.

If you are looking for good all purpose stands and have no wish to ever pull your own forks the handys will be all you would need.

The guy is actually selling handy stands. I bought one and it just arrived today, coincidence I happened to see this post too. :rotfl: Looking at the packing list it looks like handy sold the stands to the ebay guy (WORLDVIEW) but shipped them directly to me. Doesn't look like he made a profit cause the prices are the same, so who knows! Well gotta go, puttin the bike on the air right now! :D

So you got them through him for the same price as handy.com

Was he an online dealer or just someone who bought them and decided he didnt want them?

I just looked at the auction. He has a ton of them for auction.

Weird unless he has something to do with handy itself :idunno:

My guess is he's tied to handy somehow. He's been selling them for awhile now on Ebay. People keep E-mailing me saying "Hey....isn't that your bike?".

he'd have to be part of handy, like i said, they are both priced the same on Ebay and handy.com. If he's not part of handy, he's not making a profit. according to my invoice of the stands, the stands came directly from handy in Iowa

Nah, lots of resellers do it that way. Kneedraggers sold Pit-Bull stands, but they were drop-shipped directly from Pit-Bull. The manufacturer just gives the reseller a price break, which is how they make a profit.

Those are for bikes with frame tubes that run under the engine, you don't want to use that!

If you aren't sure which front stand to get(under forks or under triple clamp) get the PitBull under forks one and also get their front stand converter. The converter attaches to the regular stand and makes it a triple clamp stand :thumb:

Or you can drop by and pick up a Pit Bull at the plant. Tour the Space and Rocket Center and Cathedral Cavern

Cuts down on the on-hand inventory, also saves the vendor shipping costs... I drop ship straight from the Manuf. to you... you pay the shipping costs, you pay me with a credit card. I get my money up front, the manuf. gets their money in 30 days (sorry... running 60 now-a-days) and the ball keeps rolling. :idunno:
