i bought a pair around christmas, the regular Timax... hell with the ghetto gold crap. anyway.... since i work at a dealer, they cost me around $110, instead of the 149 retail. they showed up, i opened the package, looked at them, and the orange liner was dirty like someone had tried them on, and the leather strap with velcro that goes under the wrist had the velcro torn off it. sent them back, got another pair ordered. they show up, i check them over, these are actually new.. i try them on, they BARELY fit... i look at the package, the package is large, but the gloves are medium.... send THEM back, order ANOTHER pair. these say large on package, gloves say large, yaaay..... i try them on, fit good, feel good... play with them a little bit. about a week later i wear them on a bike for the first time, little 3 mile test ride on a used VFR.... i get back from the test ride, go to take them off, and theres a 1/4" strip right along the index finger seam starting to come apart...... send THEM back, got 1 more pair.... they got a year warranty, if 1 more fkn thing happens with these gloves, i'm done with EVERYTHING Icon, it took me 4 pairs of these gloves to get a decent pair.... if i would have been a customer instead of a halfway understanding mechanic at a dealership..... there'd be LOTS of bad mouthing.BigKahuna said:Hey, they may not be for everybody, but icon makes quality products. I have a pair of their first Ti-Max gloves and after almost a year of riding, they still look as good as new. These gloves have outlasted all the others including, Teknic, Alpinestars and Joe Rocket.
